- Sardinia and Cannonau with Sarah Heller MW
Overview
Sarah Heller MW, at 29, was the youngest person to become an MW. Sarah spent time in Sardinia whilst living in Italy. It's the second largest island in the Mediterranean located 200km to the west of Italy and 200km to the north of the North African coast. We talk about the climate and the grape variety Cannonau, also known as Grenache/Garnacha. We discuss grapevine genetics and the origins and history of Grenache and whether it might be native to Sardinia not Spain.
