London Wine Fair moves date to June after Prowein muscles in on its week

The London Wine Fair moves date to June after Prowein muscles in on its week.

Prowein, Europe's largest annual wine show, has moved from March to May due to Covid-19, clashing with the London Wine Fair which has also had to move its date.

Prowein 2022 is now due to take place from the 15-17th May in Düsseldorf, which clashed with the London Wine Fair, forcing them to move their event to the 7-9th June at Olympia.

London Wine Fair director Hannah Tovey told Drinks Business last week that she was “confused, bemused, and angry” at the clash, describing the move as “an extremely aggressive assault on both the London Wine Fair and the UK drinks market.”

The London Wine Fair’s 40th celebration will now follow the UK’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations which take place between Thursday 2 and Sunday 5 June 2022.
